To determine how the body works against hazard by keeping us safe, dental implants are good examples. Before the discoveries of the dental implants, dentists conclude that the body will not accept anything as a replacement for the teeth unless it is safe. This is possible since our body have a mechanism that can determine unnatural to a natural foreign object. This is the part called immune system, which keeps us away from germs that are providing sickness.

If the body determined the healthy organs to be healthy, there is a huge chance that they will be rejected, which is possible when the medicine attempted the first organ transplant. Basically, it is determined as foreign object of the body and it will reject it no matter what you will going to place into your body even if it is a heart valve.

Over the past decade, there are many discoveries from the implants and two of these are considered no safe to the human body. It is important that it is made of titanium in order for the body to accept the dental implants. During the 1950’s, there is a discovery that shows about the tolerance of titanium in the body. Scientists concluded that the bone cells are possible to be attached to the implant surface. In essence, a successful placement of implant will be considered as a part of the jaw bone.
